I finally made some time to finish up the last episode of Tales from the Borderlands by Telltale games. It was great! I can't say anything about this particular episode without giving out huge spoilers for the other four episodes leading up to this one.  But I can say that they tied it all together and they answered all the questions they had asked earlier in the series. I love that so many decisions from the four earlier episodes ended up having an impact in episode five.  It was really well done. Now that Tales from the Borderlands is complete I can honestly say it's my favorite Telltale adventure game.  It consistently made me laugh and held my interest throughout all the individual episodes.  I still like a lot of their other games, but this is my favorite. If you're the type of person who waits for all the episodes to come out in an episodic series, now's your chance to jump on this game.

I sat down and played both of the latest episodes from Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones the other night last night.  Telltale keeps knocking it out of the park. As long as you're even semi-interested in the setting of the game Telltale will give you a story and characters that you care about.  They'll also put some interesting and difficult decisions in front of you every time you play. After playing through a bunch of their games I'm starting to see the similarity and the formula behind them, but I'm still enjoying all the ones I'm playing right now.  It honestly all depends on if you can buy in to the setting. This was another great entry in the Tales from the Borderlands series.  I'm always super excited when new chapters of these Telltale adventure games get released and this one is no exception. Tales from the Borderlands remains fun, entertaining, and funny.  Emphasis on the funny. I'm constantly amazed by the ability of this game to make me laugh.  Not many games make me laugh out loud, but this one does.  It's the perfect crazy setting for all kinds of comedy to happen in.  It never takes itself too seriously, and I appreciate that. This is one I would recommend to any adventure game or story-driven game fan.  Unlike some of the other Telltale games, you don't need to know the other source material this game is based off of.  It's fully playable without previous knowledge. So, while I would only recommend a Telltale game like Game of Thrones to fans of Game of Thrones... Tales from the Borderlands should be played by anyone who wants to lau...

I was sick the other weekend and I got a chance to just sit down and consume some media I've been meaning to get to.  I finished up the latest episodes for two Telltale games.  Both Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands.  I also caught up on the two Star Wars comics series that I've been keeping up with.  That would be the Leia and Vader series. I thought about writing posts for each of these things, but I realized I'm just generally having fun with them.  I don't actually have any new insights or interesting thoughts about them.  They're all still good and I'm going to keep up with them until they're complete. Do you have anything that you keep up with as it releases?  Anything that you just enjoy and plan on continuing to enjoy as more of it becomes available?  I know TV shows are this way, but it's interesting to see some video games moving to this format too.

I must lack some basic pleasure mechanism that allows me to enjoy Borderlands 2.  It's a game that I feel like I should enjoy and I keep going back and trying it because of that feeling. I never actually have fun playing it. Shooting with friends is ok, but the rest of the game just bugs me.  I hate their quest system, the crazy amounts of loot, constantly smashing the pick-up item button, figuring out which gun is better, and traveling around the world.  Not to mention how repetitive the gameplay and enemies are.  And the shooting doesn't even feel that satisfying.  Borderlands 2 just doesn't ever click with me. I should probably call it quits with the series.  I never really liked the first game either, even though I finished it in it's entirety. The promise of adventures in an interesting world is one of the main factors that draws me back in.  I mean, I loved the first episode of Tales from the Borderlands.  The story and the world...
